Treatment Approach
AdCare has a long and storied history of treating addiction in the New England region and prides itself on incorporating new, evidence-based treatment into its curriculum. Along with our evidence-based treatments, we also offer genetic testing via AAC’s Addiction Labs of America in order to better inform and customize our patient’s treatment plans.
Depending on the level of care needed, individuals will participate in private and group therapy utilizing treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), family support and counseling, 12-step groups, and trauma-focused therapies.
We also offer specialized groups and tracks for veterans, first responders, LGBTQ+, and those suffering from chronic mental illness.
AdCare offers outpatient services in most of their facilities, with two locations providing inpatient care in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Accommodations vary by location with AdCare Rhode Island offering condo-like housing set on over 20 acres set of woods in New England. Our Worcester location includes 3 co-ed detox units—two with 26 beds and one with 24 beds—as well as 34 beds for our inpatient rehabilitation program.
