Desert Hope in Las Vegas, Nevada offers a full continuum of care including recovery residences at Resolutions in order to ease the transition back to society. Our expert and caring staff works with patients every step of the way to create a custom, evidence-based treatment plan to promote improved outcomes. We also treat co-occurring and chronic mental health issues.
We offer individual and group therapy in all our programs with group sessions allowing you to interact with other peers to discuss common challenges you may face in recovery.
Treatment Modalities and Specialized Groups
We offer a wide range of therapies based on your assigned level of care, co-occurring mental health disorders, and aftercare plan. Therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the Matrix Model, and dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT).
We also provide specialized and tracks for first responders, veterans, gender-specific groups, LGBTQ+ and trauma-focused therapies.
Equipped for two people, our hotel-style rooms are come with full-sized beds, private bathrooms, and housekeeping services. Private rooms are available for an additional fee. We also provide separate floors for men and women.
Our amenities include art and music rooms, laundry facilities, an indoor and outdoor fitness center, complimentary Wi-Fi, and outdoor patios for relaxing.
Meet the Staff
Kimberly Jolynn Kerr
Kimberly Jolynn Kerr is a licensed individual, marriage, and family therapist and earned a Master of Arts in Psychology from California Southern University. During her career she has interned at Marriage and Family Research Institute in CA and Partnerships for Youth at Risk in Nevada. Kimberly’s deep-rooted passion for others can be seen in her dedication to encourage, motivate, and bring hope to all her patients.
Denise Dunn, MA, LADC obtained her master’s degree in addiction counseling from Hazelden Graduate School and is licensed as an alcohol and other drug counselor. With over 35 years in behavioral healthcare, Denise Dunn’s background includes working with adjudicated youth in youth crisis shelters, working on Federal Office of Treatment Improvement grant projects, and holding positions in substance use treatment facilities.
Tabitha Johnson is a licensed clinical alcohol & drug counselor, marriage and family therapist, an AAMFT approved supervisor and a governor appointed Commissioner on the Nevada Commission on Behavioral Health. With over 11 years of experience, Tabitha’s background includes clinical work with children, couples, and families and most recently was Assistant Clinical Director with Bridge Counseling, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Ms. Johnson is passionate about recovery and working with those impacted by addiction.
Desert Hope recognizes that having a strong support system is an integral part of recovery. Because of this, we offer a family day which allows patients and their families to participate in interactive discussions every other Saturday from 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Patients and families are able to visit with one another separately following the programming.
Visiting Your Loved One
Every other Saturday after the family day programming, loved ones can visit with patients (with their consent). You may also schedule an individual visit and work with your loved one’s treatment team to plan a time that is appropriate.
